As a photographer, I communicate with people through the language of photos. A meaningful photo contains the power to transport us back to moments otherwise forgotten. They remind us to continue chasing after the beauty in living life every single day. 

Growing up with Polaroids and disposable cameras, my eyes have been behind the lens for most of my life - I’ve just traded up to Canon & Leica from my humble (and much more affordable) beginnings. It has truly been a lifelong passion of mine to capture unique moments to hold onto and enjoy forever. 

I’m a true Florida native born in Orlando, which not many people can say! I’m also Persian, and if you’re unfamiliar with my culture, just think Greek but louder and just as passionate. My fourteen-year-old daughter Giuliana is already deep into her full-on teenage years, and she’s the love of my life and my greatest accomplishment. Unsurprisingly, she’s my favorite model and muse (when I can convince her to get in front of my camera). I’ve also been married for four years; he’s okay ;) My favorite coworkers are my Frenchies, Gator & Skye, who are the menace and the princess of our house, respectively. 

One day when my daughter is off to college, my goal is to move to the PNW. The west coast contains some of my favorite areas in this great nation, and I know waking up every day a short drive from the mountains is what my soul needs.

When I’m not exploring and shooting around Orlando in my Mini Cooper, you can find me curled up with a good book or packing for another trip! Traveling is a huge part of my life because it teaches us so much. The confidence to fly (literally & metaphorically) out of our comfort zones, a humility that there are endless “right” ways to live your life, and a healthy respect for coffee… my saving grace at all times of the day. 

While travel has been on hold for the better part of this year, my favorite getaway this past year was visiting Jackson Hole and basking in the beauty of the Tetons. Plus, it’s very difficult to take a bad photo when you’re in one of the most beautiful places in the US! And my favorite travel experience so far in my life? Visiting the famous Giraffe Manor in Kenya. A return trip is in the works for 2022.

A few of the places I’ve traveled: England, Ireland, Scotland, Caribbean, Bahamas, Mexico, Kenya, Dubai, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Czech Republic, Canada and Hawaii! 

I can’t wait to see: Switzerland, more of Italy, South Africa, Bora Bora and New Zealand.

Wherever my camera takes me, I just love love. And not just romantic love, but the the love you have for your friends, your children, your fur babies, and your family. I love it all. The most important type of love, however? Self-love. It’s why I love empowering solo portraits, and it’s the most important foundation for a truly beautiful photo. All of the beauty you need, you hold within yourself right now.
