We All Love A Good Love Story: Here’s Nicole + Pedro’s Story

I know I’m not the only one who enjoys hearing couple’s love stories! It’s always so amazing to hear how my couple’s met + fell in love.

Love is so much more than a just a feeling and hearing these stories is incredible!!

I reached out to a few of my recently engaged couples and asked them to share a few words about how they met. Below you’ll find Nicole + Pedro’s story, as written by Nicole.

Nicole and Pedro had their engagement session at the Oxford Exchange. Located in Tampa. Florida, it’s a restaurant, a venue, a boutique and more. This historic building “drew inspiration from the historic clubs, libraries and shops of London, whose charm and history seem to spark spontaneous social interaction.” (Oxford Exchange)

"There was a time when we worked together in New Jersey and we never liked one another. Our friend was trying to get us to go on a date and I would always say no, until one day she finally convinced us to go to the movies for a date. After the first date I realized how stoic he was, but also really funny. Don’t get me wrong, he is funny, just not as funny as I am.

A few weeks passed and on a very cold winter we went to Broadway in New York to watch “The Lion King”. it was the best day ever! After the bus ride home, he then asked me to be his girlfriend. I will never forget it. After that he told me he felt “relieved” when he asked me to be his because he would “rehearse the lines over and over”.

A couple months later I ended up moving to Florida and we did long distance for about 3 years. Pedro would come to visit me every couple of months. In May of 2022 he finally moved to Florida to be with his dream woman, of course. After many up’s and down’s and 4.5 years later he then proposed at Spinners Restaurant in St. Pete Beach. I was over the moon!

After writing our short love story, I realized that we are THAT power couple that prioritize growth and we continue to be a source of inspiration for each other.” — Nicole
