Redwoods Elopement | Destination Photographer

Before meeting up with Mandy and Scotty for their elopement I had a little free time and decided to adventure over to Point Lobos. Let me go ahead and tell you, the views did not disappoint!

The cliffs had the most beautiful Monterey Cypress trees. They gorgeously grow under the constant batter of sea and wind. I did some research and found they only grow in 2 places out there and can live to around 200 years or up to 400 if it’s a single tree. Pretty wild if you ask me!

I then headed to meet Mandy and Scotty at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park.

As soon as I arrived I was in absolute awe of Mandy’s bouquet. OB Floral could not have done a better job. I loved that this couple wanted to keep things as natural looking as possible and use a variety of colors and textures that would really pop on their special day.

When I saw they brought their dog Ziggy along for their ceremony and portraits, I was thrilled! He was the perfect little addition to their gorgeous day!

After their ceremony they hopped in the car and went out for tex-mex takeaway and spent the evening at home, just the 3 of them. A simple but stunning and memorable day. I’m not sure it gets better than that.

On top of the couple making the day so perfect, these redwoods were amazing as well. I had never seen trees so big around or so tall! Being from Florida we have trees everywhere but nothing like these! They were like silent giants standing to witness their love.
