The Jewel of Morocco—Villa Taj Marrakech

When I tell you this venue is stunning, THIS PLACE IS STUN-NING. Of all the venues I’ve shot in Morocco, Villa Taj has a different energy to it. While the others had more of an austere personality (but still incredibly beautiful), this one has more of a modern feel; more punch, a little more playful in design, and artfully curated. This place is perfect for the couple with style in spades.

Every corner of this venue was just a joy to behold, and so thoughtfully designed. The canopies, the palms, the climbing vines, the exotic lanterns, the flora and fauna—just gorgeous moment after gorgeous moment at every turn. You can rent out the 21 villas on this beautiful property, which is enough to accommodate up to 52 guests. The resort also provides entertainment for your guests at your request—with options such as fire entertainers and traditional Berber performers—so you can truly enjoy the Moroccan culture. This venue was made for you to really be fully immersed in the experience.

The design for this wedding setup can be described as modern but still classic elegance. The venue itself had so much to give—all the florals and decor were meant to complement and integrate into the design of the resort itself. It was a great coupling, if you will… Nonetheless, the styling was absolutely wonderful and fresh; and our couple was in their element against a dazzling backdrop.

I’m sure you can tell from my photos that I was obsessed with this place. Can you blame me? This venue is perfect for the couple who love thoughtful, organic design, but dripping with style—hits of tropical mixed with the richness of the desert (Total opposites, but they somehow go together!), this place is definitely for you! I hope you’ve enjoyed this eclectic mix of digital and film photography!
