Americans in Paris—An Elopement Story

Hailey and Devan are two lovers from the States that decided to run off to the City of Lights for their nuptials. With their parents as the only guests that were invited to witness this special day, the grand apartment that was rented for this momentous occasion was the perfect setting. With this being such a small fête, they threw everything into the delicious details!

The fruit as table decor is trés mignon! And this petit gâteau just takes the cake!

Hailey is a Content Creator while Devan is a budding Super 8 videographer. These two met when they were just kids and knew early on that they belonged to each other then and have been inseparable ever since! They share a love for and the collecting of vintage things and thrifting. They were able to find some incredible vintage treasures in their excursions to the shops of Paris! Paris to them is the epitome of vintage romance, which is why they felt they had to tie the knot here.

Hailey had two gorgeous dresses from London-based bridal gown designer Mara Marie of Mara Marie Bridal. It oozes cool-French-girl-bride. The cocktail-length feathery number is just “chef’s kiss” and made for the best getaway dress.

Of course an amazing getaway dress has to have the perfect getaway carriage to match! How perfect is this adorable vintage convertible? You too, can hire a vintage car for your elopement—it’s something I highly recommend, because look—you’re going to get so many amazing photo ops with it. It was so hard for me to not post all the car photos; but alas, I had to refrain. The quaint side streets with intricate architecture full of history, vintage cars, and a gorgeous couple is the perfect formula for a chic Paris elopement!
