The Desert Botanical Garden | Phoenix, Arizona

A little over a month ago I was able to take a quick trip to Phoenix, Arizona were I met up with two amazing ladies to explore Desert Botanical Garden.

I met both of these women in photography groups on Facebook. Social media can be such a wonderful way to meet other creatives!

Anita McLeod and Ali Tso are both local ladies who were excited and flexible enough to be able to meet up with me on my brief trip to Phoenix while on business!

We decided to meet at the Desert Botanical Garden. It was only a few miles from where I was staying and at $29 it was an affordable option! The gardens were full of desert cacti and plants/flowers suitable to desert - like conditions.

We spent a few hours walking around that evening and enjoying each others company while snapping away! It was so fun to do an impromptu photoshoot and try new posing techniques that we each wanted to test out.

Of course I had to let them snap a photo or two of me as well. It’s only fair ya know. It’s a humbling and rewarding experience to be on the other end of the lens and remind ourselves how our clients feel.

I am always so happy to meet other photographers who love what they do and want to continue learning to be better as well as exploring new places.
