Snoqualmie Pass Elopement | Destination Photographer

I hope you are ready to hear the sweetest love story followed by the most beautiful elopement at Snoqualmie Pass!

Kai and Garrett met in middle school. At the time they were just a couple of kids. He was focused on playing sports and she was focused on getting her education. She was very much a type A personality - head down, study, get her work done. While Garrett was the class clown and the sport enthusiast.

They were introduced by another team mate on Garrett's team (who Kai was involved with at the time, spoiler alert, it didn’t work out!). Kai and Garrett spent a few years as friends, circling around one another, each interested in the other but neither making a "move".

At one point Kai says she had "the dream". The dream where you see the one you're supposed to be with, the one your heart wants. And that was Garrett. Kai knew from that moment that Garrett was her soul mate. She was 15. Very few people know at her age know who they are let alone who their soulmate is, but Kai knew.

The two have been together for almost 9 years! Fate has kept them together. Both attending colleges only 8 miles apart. They both went on to secure jobs in Seattle after college enabling them to stay together and continue to grow in that love. Recently Kai and Garret have moved to Brooklyn and are enjoying the hustle and bustle of NYC life!

Kai and Garrett decided to take their love and expound upon it one more time. They eloped deep in the forests in Snoqualmie Pass with only the ferns and fungi as witnesses.

Kai wore a Daci Gown and a crown made entirely of foraged items from the forest and mushrooms. She truly was a vision! According to a recent article I read in Vogue, Fungi is the new fashion so Kai was certainly on trend for her elopement day. Even her makeup by Amanda Dang was flawless!

The florals for the day were a joint effort from many amazing local Washington Florists. Petals by Piper, Sweet Lu Florals, Drawn To Flowers, Moonflower Design and Mother Maria Flower Co.

After their ceremony and portrait session we ended the evening with a picnic in the forest complete with all natural locally sourced honey and charcuterie boards. In lieu of fancy champagne these two had locally made brews. What could be better? The afternoon truly was perfect in every way.

I won’t keep you any longer! Check out this beautiful Snoqualmie Pass Elopement!
